Job summary

The Laurels of Chatham is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and presenting meals for guests in a compassionate, health-focused environment. This role emphasizes safe food handling and accurate portioning to support guest well-being and dining experience.

You will work with a collaborative team, supporting meal service and adhering to facility procedures, while contributing to a positive daily routine for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of experience as a food service aide in an institutional setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safe handling guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepares food items according to standardized recipes ensuring safe handling practices.
• Assists with the setup of the food tray line.
• Assembles diet trays and delivers trays to dining areas or units.
• Cleans dishes, utensils and equipment according to procedures.
• Assists in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks.
