Position Summary

The Dietary Aide, under supervision, assists in food service activities including assembly, production, and distribution, ensuring sanitation, safety, and adherence to menu and therapeutic specifications. Responsibilities include maintaining clean and sanitary conditions, monitoring food temperatures, operating cash registers, and other related duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in training and orientation of staff and students
• Familiarize with diets, reference materials, and technical terms
• Follow approved menus and therapeutic guidelines
• Assist with food prep such as toast, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and beverages
• Serve meals according to standards
• Deliver food and clear trays
• Sanitize dining and service areas
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Label, store, and discard leftovers properly
• Manage inventory and supplies
• Participate in quality control audits
• Perform other duties as assigned
