Description

The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and adheres to state guidelines to ensure proper food preparation, serving to residents, and cleanup after meals, including dining hall and dishwashing duties.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Assist with food preparation and cooking, following universal precautions and regulations.
2. Prepare and serve beverages.
3. Set up and pass trays during meal service.
4. Stock the snack cart.
5. Buss tables and trays.
6. Clean the kitchen work area.
7. Wash dishes.
8. Follow proper handwashing guidelines.
9. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CDM or Executive Director.

Qualifications

Educational/Training Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licensing Requirements

• Must possess a Texas Food Handler Certificate.

Experience Requirements

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
