Zusammenfassung

ALIYA of Palatine is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents by preparing and serving meals according to planned menus and therapeutic diets. You will help ensure high-quality nutrition services and a pleasant dining experience in a team-centered environment.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, snacks, and trays, maintaining a clean kitchen, and following all safety and sanitation standards. This part-time role emphasizes compassionate, resident-focused service and reliability.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service, dietary, restaurant, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
• Ability to properly use and care for dietary equipment and supplies.
• Ability to perform routine cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Strong customer service skills with a compassionate and resident-focused attitude.
• Patience, dependability, and a positive team-oriented approach.

Aufgaben

• Review, prepare, and serve meals in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, therapeutic diets, and special diet orders.
• Prepare and serve residents' nutritional bedtime snacks and provide approved substitute foods for residents who decline scheduled meals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment while following all Infection Prevention and Control standards.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures, ensuring utensils, cookware, and equipment are cleaned and available for the next meal service.
• Prepare and deliver snacks, food carts, and meal trays to designated resident areas.
• Serve food and beverages in the dining room in a courteous and professional manner.
• Sweep and mop kitchen, dining, and dish room floors as directed by the supervisor.
• Assist with stocking supplies and maintaining inventory as assigned.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
• Report equipment concerns or safety hazards to the Dietary Manager promptly.
• Work collaboratively with the Dietary Team to provide an excellent dining experience for residents.
