Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living in Owensville, MO is seeking a full-time food service associate to prepare meals, assist with dishwashing, and support nutritious, resident-centered dining services.

The role emphasizes following standardized recipes, safe handling, and efficient use of supplies. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential to create a welcoming, family-like environment for residents.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in institutional food service.
• Basic understanding of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
• Understanding of person-centered care.
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Working knowledge of professional standards of practice in job situations.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepare food items according to the standardized recipes insuring safe food handling practices.
• Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient and economic manner to prevent waste.
• Operates institutional food preparation and cleaning equipment (including dish machine) according to manufacturer and supervisory direction. Follows proper cleaning and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assists with the set-up of the food tray line or set up of buffet dining.
• Assembles meals and trays for residents according to the facility procedures.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN OWENSVILLE, MO

Participates as needed to prepare and serves appetizing, nourishing, well-balanced meals to meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs for each resident. Assists in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks.

• Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
