Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Dietary Aide to join the team at our client's nursing facility. The Dietary Aide will play a crucial role in assisting with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist with meal preparation and serving in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines.
2. Ensure that all meals are served with attention to taste, presentation, and dietary requirements.
3. Collaborate with the dietary team to support the preparation and delivery of meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents.
4. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas.
5. Monitor and record food temperatures and assist with safe food handling practices.
6. Assist with food inventory management, including stocking and restocking supplies as needed.
7. Accommodate special dietary needs and preferences as directed by dietary staff.
8. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
9. Uphold the highest standards of food quality and safety.
10. Follow all health and safety regulations and maintain compliance with state and local health department requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or similar role in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and dietary guidelines is a plus.
• Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with meal service tasks.
