Job summary

Village Crest, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates in New Milford, CT, is seeking a Dietary Aide to support residents' dietary needs by assisting with meal preparation, service, and dining-area maintenance.

You will work with the dietary team to meet special dietary requirements, ensure proper portioning and presentation, and help create a warm, compassionate dining experience for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dietary or food service preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation basics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation and serving following menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure proper portioning, plating and presentation of meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist in stocking and organizing food and supplies.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to accommodate dietary needs.
• Provide friendly, attentive service to residents during meals.

As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents’ dietary needs by assisting with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. Your dedication will directly impact the quality of life for those in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing and serving meals following specified menus and dietary requirements
• Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation of meals
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas Assist in stocking and organizing food and supplies
