Part-Time

Purpose of Your Job Position

The primary purpose of this position is to perform various tasks related to the preparation, service, and clean-up of meals served to residents and staff in the nursing center and during special events, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and Solaris Healthcare's policies and procedures.

Job Functions

1. Assist the Cook as directed by the Food Service Director.
2. Transport pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, refrigerator, freezer, and dining rooms.
3. Prepare and label nourishments according to center procedures and deliver to resident areas.
4. Prepare and portion desserts, salads, and other non-entrée foods into dishes. Pour beverages.
5. Follow production sheets and pre-preparation guides.
6. Use proper handwashing techniques and maintain sanitation.
7. Complete assigned work tasks efficiently.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with meal service and other related duties as required.

Education

Ability to understand directions; reading skills are desirable.

Experience
