What will you do as a Dietary Aide

• Ensure all food procedures are followed.

• Prepares food using proper food handling and safety techniques

• Maintains proper temperature of food during preparation and service

• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties in food service department

• Assist in serving meals, beverages, and special items on a timely manner

• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and orderly manner

• Label, dates, and stores food properly

• Maintain a clean sanitary work area

• Maintain clean kitchen Equipment

• Prepare dining room for service

• Perform dishwashing service and cleaning procedures

• Prepare and deliver snacks as directed

• Assure safety and health regulations are being followed

• Report any complaints to supervisor

• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor

• Report any abuse immediately to supervisor.

• Assist in food preparation for special meals or events

• Maintain Confidentiality of all resident’s information to assure residents rights are protected

• Report all work related injuries to supervisor

• Transport all food carts in a safe and proper manner

• Wear proper work attire including hair nets and badges

• Practice safe work habits

• Performs all other duties as assigned

Requirements for a Dietary Aide

• Previous experience preferred
