Job summary

The Hermitage Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal preparation, food service, and sanitation in a resident-centered environment. You will assist with trays, stocking, and delivering meals while upholding respect for residents and families.

Candidates should have culinary experience with attention to detail, strong communication, and a teamwork-oriented mindset to ensure quality care and safety in all dining operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a culinary environment; large volume food preparation and service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safe and sanitary handling of food, dishes and equipment
• Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order
• Assist in stocking food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned
• Deliver food, nourishments and supplies as assigned
• Contributes to an environment that is respectful, team-oriented and responsive to the concerns of co-workers, residents and families
• Participates in quality improvement activities (QAPI) as requested
• Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive Protected Health Information (PHI) at all times
• Demonstrates organizational and critical thinking skills
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, problem solve and make decisions as necessary
• Ability to create a resident-centered environment
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations

Dietary Aide for The Hermitage Healthcare

• Pay Range: $16.50-$17.34

The Dietary Aide is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the preparation and serving of food, cleaning food service areas, equipment and utensils.

• Safe and sanitary handling of food, dishes and equipment
• Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order
• Assist in stocking food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned
• Deliver food, nourishments and supplies as assigned
• Contributes to an environment that is respectful, team-oriented and responsive to the concerns of co-workers, residents and families
