Job summary

HHS is hiring a Dietary Aide to support the dietary team at Bon Secours Mercy Health St Rita's Medical Center. You will assist patients with menu selections, deliver meals promptly, and provide strong customer service to ensure satisfaction.

Position is part-time with day, evening and night shifts. Candidates must pass a background check and health screenings; prior culinary experience is preferred but not required. We foster teamwork and patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Maintain good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team.
• Preferred: Culinary experience in cook, kitchen, fast food or healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients.
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
• Prepare cold and hot items and condiments for meal times.
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management to help the department operate efficiently.

• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare)

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
