Job summary

Cypress at Lake Providence, part of Volare Health, is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in food preparation, service, and maintaining clean and sanitary dining areas. This full-time role requires weekend and holiday availability, with a split shift schedule (6a–2p and 4 days on/2 off, or 6a–230p and 11a–7:30p).

Qualifications

• Food Handler's permit/ServSafe certification as per state requirements.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Relate positively to residents and work cooperatively with staff.
• Must pass drug screening, criminal background check and reference inquiry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Check that plate and hot base lowerator are heated, steam table is properly heated.
• Ensure accurate serving portions and food items are on each tray before loading to the food cart.
• Use appropriate serving utensils; ensure temperatures are within standards and logged.
• During tray line, garnish trays, arrange neatly, ensure silverware and dishes are clean and dry.
• After tray-line, check and record excess/shortage preparation and discuss with supervisor.

Pay: $10.00/hr

Schedule:Split shift – 4 days on 2 off, 6a – 230p & 11a – 730p and 4 days on 2 days off, 6a-2p.

• These are full-time positions, hours. Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation, serving, and maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Check that plate and hot base lowerator are heated, steam table is properly heated.
• Ensure that accurate serving portions and food items are on each tray before loading to the food cart.
• Ensure that appropriate serving utensils are used; ensure that temperatures are within standards (all temperatures are logged and reviewed prior to tray-line).
• During the tray line, ensure that the trays are garnished, neatly arranged, silverware, cups, and dishes are clean and plate covers are dry.
• After tray-line, check and record excess/shortage preparation, discuss with the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Food Handler's permit/ServSafe certification as per state requirements.
• Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
• Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and to work cooperatively with other employees.
• Must pass drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.
