Job summary

Fundamental in Humble, TX is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals for patients, staff, and residents, ensuring meals meet dietary orders and preferences.

You will work under the Dietary Manager, follow safety guidelines, and help with dishwashing when needed. English fluency and reliable transportation required; high school diploma or GED preferred; wage range $11–$14 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food handler permit preferred according to local regulatory requirements.
• Experience in food prep and service within a skilled nursing or long term care facility strongly preferred.
• Must be able to speak, understand, and write in fluent English.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/ or service of meals/ food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Dietary Manager.
• Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient's/resident's food preferences and diet order.
• Assist the Cook by ensuring the food prepared/and or pre-portioned using proper food handling/ safety techniques and is of proper quantity, completed on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu & residents' diet order.
• May wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Dietary Manager.

Posted Salary Range

USD $11.00 - USD $14.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
