Job summary

Great Falls Clinic Hospital is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support patient and staff meals, ensuring quality, safety, and nutrition. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to health codes, FIFO rotation, and compassionate service in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with cafeteria meal prep and catering, inspecting deliveries, stocking supplies, cashier duties, and working under the Dietary Manager and Dietitian to meet dietary needs and special requests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Dietary experience in hospital setting preferred.
• Food service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of dietary needs and health code guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present meals for patients and staff with eye appeal.
• Assist with cafeteria meal preparation and hospital catering.
• Maintain FIFO rotation and verify fresh ingredients.
• Check in food deliveries and stock supplies; ensure items are undamaged.
• Handle cashier duties and funds; work with Dietary Manager and Dietitian.
• Maintain kitchen organization and comply with regulatory requirements.

Position Overview

The dietary aide provides all dietary needs to the patients and employees meals for the hospital. Assists with cafeteria meal preparation and catering events for the hospital. Ensures food is rotated on a First in First out rotation (FIFO). Ensure all resale items are stocked and restocked in a timely manner. Provide and present meals with eye appeal, taste good, and meet health code guidelines. Ensure scheduled menu items have ingredients required and meat items pulled from freezer as outlined in health code guidelines. Checks in all food and supply deliveries to ensure product is not damaged and all supplies are received. Works cooperatively with : Providers, Healthcare Professionals, Allied Health Staff, Patients and families. Also responsible for kitchen organization, assisting with ordering of stock items, cleanliness and compliance with regulatory body requirements. Cashier duties and funds handling. Receives direction: Dietary Manager, Dietitian or shift leader, hospital staff, patients.

Education

Experience

• Dietary experience in the hospital setting requested.
• Food service experience is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Hospital dietary.
• Needs to be knowledgeable and experience in providing dietary support to the hospital patients including special dietary needs/requirements.
