Position Overview

The dietary aide provides all dietary needs to patients and employees, including meal preparation for the hospital cafeteria and catering events. Responsibilities include ensuring food is rotated on a FIFO basis, stocking resale items, presenting meals appealingly, and ensuring compliance with health codes. The role involves checking deliveries, working cooperatively with staff and patients, kitchen organization, ordering supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and handling cashier duties under the direction of the Dietary Manager or shift leader.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Hospital dietary experience preferred; food service experience is a plus

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of hospital dietary procedures, including supporting patients with special dietary needs
