Job summary

DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a Food Svcs/Dietary team member to support meal preparation, service, and transport for patients, staff and guests.

You will help with inventory, stocking, food prep, menu review for prescribed diets, and transport within the hospital. A high school diploma is preferred, and prior food service experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2. Additional experience/training require depending upon discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve, and transport meals for patients, staff, and guests.
• Take inventory and maintain records; stock food and supplies.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas between uses; maintain cash operations.
• Review daily patient menus to ensure diet adherence.
• Transport food and supplies within the hospital.
• Prepare and deliver patient formulas.

Job Description

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs duties related to the preparation, service, and transport of patient, staff, and guest meals. These may include but are not limited to taking inventory and maintaining records, stocking food and supplies, food preparation, setup and service, and transport of food and supplies; cleaning and sanitizing all equipment and work areas between use; maintaining accurate cash operations. May prepare, deliver/collect, and review daily patient menus to ensure selections are in accordance with prescribed diet. May transport food and supplies within or between hospitals. May prepare and deliver patient formulas.
