Job summary

West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Delray Beach, Florida is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join our dedicated Dietary Team. You will help set up and serve meals, assist with tray delivery, and support safe, sanitary meal service in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Prior LTC experience is valued, but not required. Strong reading and following written directions, teamwork, and reliability are essential to ensure residents receive nutritious meals with kindness.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a nursing home or long-term care is preferred (minimum 1 year ideal).
• Ability to read and follow written directions.
• Experience in Long-Term Care is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately set up and serve resident meal trays according to specific dietary needs.
• Deliver and collect meal trays promptly and courteously.
• Break down trays and manage contents in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Maintain cleanliness by handling trash disposal, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing work areas after each meal service.
• Assist with food preparation for special events and celebrations, following all sanitary regulations.
• Support the department’s safety and efficiency by maintaining equipment and supplies.
