Job summary

TSVH is hiring a Dietary Aide at a new skilled nursing facility for veterans in Cleveland, Tennessee. The role includes preparing food, serving meals, and maintaining dining areas with a focus on resident care and cooperation with staff.

Base pay ranges from $13.93 to $20.05 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include retirement plans, health coverage, paid time off, and more to support our veterans and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food in quantities according to the menu, recipe and number of persons to be served.
• Set up dining room as instructed and prepare items such as salads and beverages.
• Take resident orders and serve meals in a timely manner.
• Clean resident eating areas, work areas, equipment and utensils according to procedures.
• Store food in designated areas and maintain cleanliness of surfaces and floors.
• Collaborate with residents, facility staff and providers to ensure quality care.

The primary function of a Dietary Aide is to assist in the preparation of food in quantities according to the menu, recipe and number of persons to be served, including setting up dining room as instructed and prepares items such as salads and beverages. Takes resident orders and serves meals to residents in a timely manner. Cleans resident eating areas, work areas, equipment and utensils according to the proper procedures, including collecting and stacking dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen, washing cooking equipment, carts, pots, pans, dishes and utensils, cleaning eating and prep surfaces, sweeping and moping floor, removing garbage, storing food in designated areas. Consistently work cooperatively with residents, resident’s representatives, facility staff, physicians, consultants and ancillary service providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent preferred and previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
