The Dining Aide assists in all dining functions to meet residents’ needs according to policies, physician orders, and regulations. The role emphasizes customer service and nutritional quality.

Essential Functions

• Assist in meal delivery and service.
• Take and fulfill residents’ meal orders.
• Set up and clear dining areas.
• Monitor resident attendance and report absences.
• Welcome new residents and adhere to diet restrictions and allergies.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and compliance.
• Assist with daily cleaning duties.
• Observe and report nutritional intake and behaviors.
• Complete quality assurance documentation.
• Follow diet rosters and food allergy protocols.
• Show compassion and enthusiasm for working with seniors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• First Aid certification upon hire or during orientation.
• Meet health requirements, including TB testing and immunizations.
