Job summary

Parsons Residential is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct, compassionate care to residents and support daily living activities. The role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and maintaining residents' dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, meals, hydration, hygiene, health monitoring, medication reminders, and fostering engagement in activities. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Completion of a state‑approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

  • Personal Care Support: Assist residents with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
  • Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
  • Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in health, behavior, and physical condition to the nursing team.
  • Assist with medication reminders and monitor for adverse reactions.
  • Resident Engagement: Foster positive relationships and encourage participation in activities and events.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure living areas are clean, organized, and safe; follow infection control protocols.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, following established procedures.

Position Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Health Monitoring:

Qualifications
  • Education:

  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of caregiving techniques and safety protocols.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility and physical support as needed.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
