Job summary

Friendship Health and Rehab South in Roanoke, VA is seeking Full-Time Dietary Aides to support residents and staff. You will provide food service under sanitary policies, assist in dietary functions, and help prepare meals according to individualized diet orders.

Shifts include 5:00 am–1:30 pm or 6:30 am–3:00 pm, with every-other-weekend work; safety and sanitation are emphasized. Responsibilities include timely meal delivery, operating kitchen equipment safely, and keeping a clean, organized

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day; ability to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide food service to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions.
• Assist in all dietary functions as directed and per policies.
• Prepare meal trays according to diet lists and ensure timely delivery by schedule.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and proper food storage.

Friendship is looking for Full-TimeDietary Aides to join our Friendship Health and Rehab South team, located in Roanoke, VA. The Dietary Aide is responsible for providing food service to residents, guests and employees under sanitary conditions and for providing assistance in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.

Shifts Available:

• 5:00 am - 1:30 pm, working every other weekend
• 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, working every other weekend
• Correctly and safely uses kitchen equipment and utensils for food preparation, service and cleaning
• Abide by facility policies and procedures as well as laws and regulations related to food safety and sanitation
• Prepares meal trays for residents according to diet list for each resident; ensures that meals are complete and processed per individual requirements and requests per diet orders (i.e. puree diets)
• Ensures that meals are delivered promptly on-time per schedule
• Keeps kitchen clean and sanitized on a daily basis - prior to breaks and leaving for the day. Labels all food products for proper storage according to regulations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food service experience preferred
• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects weighing over 50 pounds
