Job summary

HHS is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide at Carlsbad Medical Center. Full-time and part-time shifts are available; day, evening and night options. You will assist patients with menu selection, deliver meals promptly, and provide courteous, patient-focused service.

Requirements include being at least 18, good personal hygiene, and strong English communication with teamwork. Prior culinary experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Preferred: Culinary experience in healthcare or related settings.

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner
• Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Job Description

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate team players to join our culinary team!
As part of the dietary team, assist patients with menu selection and deliver their meals in a timely fashion. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient is satisfied with their meal.

Responsibilities

Dietary Aide

• Wage: $15/hour
• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Day/Evening/Night shifts available
• Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
• Location: Carlsbad Medical Center

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
