Job summary

Wheatcrest Hills Healthcare Center in Britton, SD is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. The role focuses on teamwork, quality service, and contributing to our enhanced dining program with culinary excellence.

You will read orders, prepare and arrange items on trays, assist with food prep, and ensure meals are served attractively and safely. The position emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Food Handlers' Permit.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.
• Interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and operate kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read production orders on tray cards.
• Place items such as utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.

Wheatcrest Hills Healthcare Centeris currently looking for a Dietary Aide to join our dietary department. We are seeking a team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work. Our enhanced dining program provides culinary excellence.

Essential Functions:

• Read production orders on tray cards


• Places items, such as eating utensils, napkins, straws, condiments, and tray cards on trays.


• Performs food preparation tasks as assigned.


• Serve assigned food on trays at proper time, attractively, and at correct temperature. May help with food preparation.


• Pushes carts to halls or kitchen.


• Washes dishes and cleans work area


• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Required:Food Handlers' Permit


• Knowledge of high standards of food service sanitation and safety


• Interpersonal skills


• Attention to detail


• Skill and ability to learn to operate kitchen equipment.
