Children's of Alabama in Birmingham is seeking a Food Service team member for the Main Campus McWane Building on the night shift (11p–7a). This full-time position prepares cafeteria counters for each meal, greets patients and staff, and helps prevent run-outs by informing cooks in advance.

You must be able to read and speak English, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a Food Handler credential. Prior hospital food service experience is a plus; on-the-job training will be provided.

• Ability to speak and read English.
• AL Food Handler or US Food Handler credential.

Summary

Prepares cafeteria counters for each meal; keep clean and orderly during meal. Greets customers cheerfully and respectfully. Prevents run-outs by informing cooks ahead of time those items needed. Delivers and returns food carts to patient floors.

Other information

Must demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with members of the Health System staff, co-workers within the department, and patient's families to promote teamwork, efficiency and to provide quality service.

Ability to speak and read English required.
