Job summary

Phoenix of Fairlawn is seeking a patient-focused Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, snacks, and delivery following physician diets and production schedules. The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and accurate tray reviews to meet patient needs.

The position requires basic education, English language skills, and reliable teamwork in a fast-paced environment with exposure to varied temperatures and humidity. Prior food-handling experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education/experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; similar work environment preferred.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak, read and write English.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide simple numbers.
• REASONING SKILLS: Apply common sense to carry out simple tasks and create solutions as changes arise.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Food Handlers and/or ServSafe preferred but not required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly required to walk or stand for long periods of time as well frequently lift, reach, pull/push objects weighing up to 10 pounds (rarely up to 50 pounds), crouch or stoop.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, hot and extreme cold temperatures. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
