Job summary

Phoenix Health Services LLC in Akron, OH is seeking a Food Service Aide to assist with meal preparation, snacks, and delivery under physician diets. You will help maintain temperatures, support sanitation, and ensure trays match diet instructions and patient preferences.

Strong English communication, basic math, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are preferred; a GED or high school diploma is acceptable, and ServSafe is a plus. Training provided.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; similar work environment preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide simple numbers.

REASONING SKILLS: Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple tasks and create solutions as changes arise.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Food Handlers and/or ServSafe preferred but not required.

Other Skills And Abilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly required to walk or stand for long periods of time as well frequently lift, reach, pull/push objects weighing up to 10 pounds (rarely up to 50 pounds), crouch or stoop.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, hot and extreme cold temperatures. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
