Summa Health is seeking a Diet Technician to join its hospital nutrition team in Akron. You will support the registered dietitian, screen patients, and help develop and monitor diet plans while educating patients on allowable meals and prescribed diets.

Qualifications

• Dietetics degree or certification required or equivalent.
• Maintenance of continuing education units as required by credentialing body.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and analyze data for care decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered dietitian with nutrition care plans.
• Screen and rescreen patients and educate on diet prescriptions.
• Process meal orders and coordinate with nursing and kitchen staff.
• Communicate patient dietary needs and delivery times to the team.
