Job Description

The Diet Clerk performs clerical and administrative duties supporting patient meal services and clinical dietitians, adhering to organizational standards and policies. Responsibilities include assisting with menu selections, ensuring dietary accuracy, and utilizing various computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Assist with menu selections and respond promptly to patient needs.
• Ensure dietary modifications are correctly implemented.
• Utilize systems like Patient Care System, CBORD Diet Office Management, and others effectively.
• Check patient trays for accuracy during meal service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college training in Dietetics preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or knowledge of dietetics and medical terminology preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and remain calm under stress.
