Smith Turf & Irrigation LLC in North Carolina is seeking a Commercial Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair turf and commercial equipment used in golf and grounds industries. You will diagnose issues, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure service quality aligns with our commitment to customers.

Responsibilities include testing hydraulics and electrical systems, reading schematics, documenting issues, and staying current with product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience on golf turf or heavy diesel equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and hydraulic problems.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Kohler/Toro/Briggs & Stratton certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately test, troubleshoot, and diagnose failures on hydraulics, electrical systems, and engines on commercial turf equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance including oil changes, hydraulic fluid, and filters.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Document issues clearly with cause and correction.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment serviced and participate in training.
• Work professionally and safely at all times.
