This position supports the turbocharger rebuild process by helping inspect, clean, prepare, organize, and stage turbocharger components for repair, rebuilding, balancing, testing, or final assembly.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys shop work, working with mechanical parts, using tools, and being part of a production team. Direct turbocharger experience is helpful, but not required. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and willing to learn.

What You'll Do
  • Inspect turbocharger cores to help prepare them for the rebuilding process.
  • Assist with disassembled turbocharger components, including bearings, seals, housings, shafts, wheels, and related parts.
  • Clean and inspect turbocharger components according to company procedures and supervisor direction.
  • Remove oil, grease, dirt, carbon, rust, debris, residue, and other contaminants from parts and surfaces.
  • Prepare parts for inspection, repair, rebuilding, balancing, testing, or final assembly.
  • Keep cleaned and uncleaned parts separated, organized, and properly identified.
  • Help maintain part traceability throughout the cleaning, staging, and shop support process.
  • Use hand tools, cleaning tools, air hoses, brushes, parts washers, and other shop equipment as assigned.
  • Assist with sandblasting, polishing, buffing, painting, and surface preparation as trained.
  • Inspect parts during cleaning for obvious damage, wear, cracks, missing components, contamination, or other concerns.
  • Move, stage, sort, and organize turbocharger parts, tools, materials, and shop supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow company safety policies, PPE requirements, quality procedures, and department expectations.
What We're Looking For
  • Prior hands-on experience in a shop, warehouse, production, automotive, diesel, mechanical, cleaning, painting, or related environment preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely handle mechanical parts and small components.
  • Ability to safely clean, inspect, organize, and stage turbocharger parts and related components.
  • Ability to use or learn to use cleaning equipment, sandblasting equipment, polishing and buffing equipment, painting equipment, hand tools, air hoses, and basic shop equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to keep parts properly organized, identified, and staged.
  • Ability to identify and communicate obvious damage, wear, cracks, missing components, contamination, or other quality concerns.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, PPE requirements, quality procedures, and supervisor direction.
  • Dependable attendance, punctuality, communication, and work ethic.
Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on production shop role. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, use hands to handle tools and small parts, bend, reach, twist, lift, grip, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.

The role may require lifting and moving turbocharger parts, tools, and materials up to 50 pounds. Work is performed around oils, grease, cleaning agents, compressed air, shop noise, tools, cleaning equipment, and other industrial shop conditions. Required PPE may include safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, protective clothing, and other PPE required for the task or work area.
