Job summary
Performance Foodservice is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a fleet of medium to heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. The role requires diagnosing issues, ensuring roadworthiness, and accurate documentation of work orders in a centralized system.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of repair experience, including PMs, brakes, electrical diagnostics, and A/C refrigeration.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair and experience in A/C refrigeration.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty fleet diesel equipment and identify root causes of basic failures.
- Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration prior to roadworthiness.
- Document work orders of repairs and PMs in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other parts for proper operation, with parts replacement as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, using hand and power tools.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
