Job summary
GFL Environmental Inc. in Waunakee, Wisconsin, is hiring a Diesel Mechanic for safely operating, repairing, rebuilding and maintaining heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment. Starting pay is $28–$40/hr with overtime after 40 hours and a shift from 12pm to 10pm, M-F.

Qualifications
- Experience with diesel refuse trucks and heavy-duty diesel vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs on diesel refuse trucks.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hydraulic, electrical, brake and suspension systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks.
- Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably.
- Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
