Job summary

Transwest, Inc. in Superior, WI is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our team.

This hourly role requires repairing diesel and gas trucks to OEM standards, diagnosing complex issues, and collaborating with the parts department to source components, while ensuring safety and efficiency on every job. You will maintain a clean work area, follow company safety guidelines, pay attention to details, and be ready to work shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with good MVR.
• Ability to obtain CDL within 90 days.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs following OEM standards and safety guidelines.
• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas truck systems including engine, transmission, electrical and drivability.
• Collaborate with parts department to obtain required parts and verify warranty on repair orders.
• Manage time efficiently and document repairs and test drives as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and comply with hazardous waste regulations.
• Communicate with Shop Foreman and provide recommendations for repair orders.
