East Texas Bridge, Inc. in LONGVIEW, TX is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic.

The role focuses on diagnosing diesel vehicles, repairing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting components, and performing proactive diagnostics and maintenance. Qualified candidates will have a degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering, plus advanced diesel knowledge, IT/diagnostic skills, and the ability to lift up to 150 pounds.

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components.
Good IT and diagnostic skills.
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
Mechanical experience with Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Mac.
Electrical/brake knowledge.
Dump truck knowledge.
Ability to diagnose issues with software.
Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds.
Freight line international experience.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults.
Repair or replace engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components.
Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
Maintaining a parts inventory.
