Job summary

A & Associates is seeking a skilled Trash Truck Mechanic in Daytona Beach, FL. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain refuse collection vehicles and related equipment to ensure safe, reliable fleet operations.

The role requires strong diesel engine knowledge, hydraulic and electrical system repair, welding, and the ability to read manuals and schematics. CDL preferred; pay range listed as $22–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in diesel truck repair and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on refuse trucks and fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering, and drivetrains.
• Inspect and repair hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, valves, hoses, and PTO systems.
