West Central Sanitation in Willmar, MN is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to service diesel engines and a growing fleet, including compressed natural gas trucks. The role emphasizes safety, diagnostics, hydraulics, and teamwork in a modern shop environment.

The position is full-time, 2nd shift 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with overtime opportunities and shift variations by day. Starting wages range from $68,640 to $80,080 annually, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, driving record review, physical and drug screening.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
• Must reliably commute to Willmar, MN and may relocate before starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance on diesel equipment and CN gas trucks.
• Collaborate with experienced mechanics using diagnostics, hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Follow established safety practices to maintain a clean, organized shop.
• Support a team-oriented environment focused on efficiency and skill development.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

2-year degree in Automotive, Diesel, or Heavy Truck Maintenance

Equiv. education/experience

CDL preferred
