Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Diesel Mechanic II to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks, trailers and fleet equipment. You will use advanced troubleshooting, electronic testing, and OEM diagnostics to maximize uptime and safety.

Qualifications

3+ years of diesel mechanic experience in fleet, transportation, recycling, construction, or industrial environments.
Proficient in diesel diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Experience with welding and torching.
Familiarity with hydraulics, electrical systems and emissions controls.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension, and electrical systems.
Perform advanced troubleshooting with diagnostic software and testing equipment.
Repair and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and air brake systems.
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance.
Complete preventative maintenance and major component replacements.
Troubleshoot emissions systems (DEF/DPF).
Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
Mentor and train entry-level technicians.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and field service repairs.
Maintain service documentation and parts usage.
Ensure repairs meet OEM and safety standards.
Communicate repair timelines and equipment status to supervisors.
