Job summary

Geis Dealer Group's Bethany location is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Truck Technician to service Class 8 and Medium Duty trucks. The role covers electronic engine work (MX, Cummins, CAT), preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and general repairs, with factory training available.

The position is in-person at 389 S 39th St, Bethany, MO 64424, offering a competitive salary ($20.00–$45.00 per hour), overtime options, and a path for skill development through OEM training and advancement

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic engine diagnostics and repairs (MX, Cummins, CAT).
• Perform diesel engine repair (MX, Cummins, CAT).
• Perform accurate and complete vehicle inspections (DOT, PM).
• Perform ABS diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform HVAC diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform electrical systems diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform air brake diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform wheel end repairs and adjustments.
• Perform suspension and steering diagnostics and repairs.
• Perform PM maintenance accurately and efficiently.
• Adhere to all warranty policies and procedures.
• Use electronic technical manuals and resources for diagnosis and repair.
• Provide accurate documentation on repair orders.

Job description

Diesel Mechanic Truck Technician

Peterbilt of Bethany is looking for experienced Class 8 and Medium Duty truck technicians (Diesel Mechanic) who want a challenging career in the transportation industry. Mechanics must be capable of working on electronic engines (MX, Cummins, and CAT engines) internal and external. The tech must also possess the skills to perform preventive maintenance, DOT Annual inspections, general truck and trailer repairs, and everything in between.

Factory training available on specific systems and electronic diesel engines, CAT, Cummins, and MX Paccar. The technician must have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, be able to multi‑task, be able to work well with coworkers, have good computer skills, and a strong desire to take care of customers.

Compensation & Schedule

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
• Shifts: 8hrs & 10hrs + overtime options
• Schedule: 10 hour shift, 8 hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
• Service Technician Referral Program: Earn up to $5,000
