Job summary

Clean Harbors Deer Park is seeking a skilled Diagnostics Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and reassemble heavy equipment, diesel systems, and hydraulics. You will validate repairs by testing to manufacturer specs and use computer instrumentation to troubleshoot work orders.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of plant experience, reads schematics, and holds Diesel Repair and EPA Section 609 certifications. This on-site role offers union-backed schedules, competitive wages, and a pathway to advanced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Passing Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test.
• 3+ years’ plant experience in heavy industrial/mobile equipment maintenance and repair.
• Caterpillar & Kubota engine experience/certifications/education (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and reassemble heavy equipment with confidence.
• Validate repairs by testing equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Leverage computer instrumentation to troubleshoot and complete work orders.
• Follow safety-first practices and assist with additional duties as assigned.
