Job summary

Texas Pride Fuels is hiring for a hazardous materials (diesel) tanker driver to operate in parts of west Texas, southeast New Mexico and central Oklahoma. Expect a 23 days on/7 days off rotation with 70 hours per week and a starting wage of $27/hour plus raises, overtime, sign-on bonus, and per diem.

You will transport diesel via full-size tanker trailer, perform inspections, log hours, and ensure DOT/Hazmat safety. Benefits include training, PTO first year, and a 401k with company match.

Job description

This role requires being open to working in any of the areas of operation, parts of west Texas and southeast New Mexico and central Oklahoma, and open to working 3 week on/1 week off rotations.

Overview

• $27/hour to start+ time-on-job raises + overtime + sign-on bonus + per diem

• Work:Transport and deliver hazardous materials (diesel)in a full-size tanker trailer to customers in any of our operational areas, applying skills and experience in commercial driving and knowledge of hazmat safety and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver diesel fuel via class A tanker-trailer combinations from terminals to customers in ANY of our areas of operation, parts of west Texas and southeast New Mexico and central Oklahoma
• Perform thorough pre and post trip inspections + adhere to all DOT, Hazmat, and Texas Pride Fuels safety regulations
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and customer delivery documentation
• Communicate with logistics partners to ensure customer needs are met

Required Qualifications

• Class ACDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements (X)
• Operation of manual transmission (No E Restriction)
• Minimum of 2 years Class A truck driving experience
• Minimum of 2 years Tanker/Fluid truck driving experience.
• Must be registered on the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse prior to start
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation Compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA Compliance.
• Ability to proficiently speak, write, and read the English language.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam.

Compensation and Benefits

• $27/hour to start
• +$.50/hour once carded at appropriate fuel terminals
• Time on the job raises every three months for first year, total of +$1.50/hour
• Time and a half pay for hours over 40 in a work week
• $300 sign-on bonus
• $69/day per diem
• PTO in first year

Schedule and Location

• 23 days on/ 7 days off, must be open to working rotations in ANY area where operate in parts of west Texas, southeast New Mexico, and central Oklahoma
