Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in trailer maintenance and repair preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air brake systems, electrical systems, and trailer components.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailers including brakes, lights, tires, and suspension systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all trailers meet safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Perform welding and fabrication work as needed.
• Replace and repair trailer doors, hinges, flooring, and other structural components.
• Service and repair refrigeration units on temperature-controlled trailers (if applicable).
• Collaborate with transportation team to prioritize repair schedules and minimize downtime.
