Job summary

Texas State Technical College seeks an Instructor to deliver high quality diesel technology instruction in Harlingen, TX. You will develop course syllabi, plan lessons, and use creative techniques to engage students while maintaining safety and equipment integrity.

You will advise students, collaborate with Student Success on tutoring, and participate in recruitment events to promote the program. Evening or weekend shifts may be required based on schedule.

Qualifications

• Be able to read wiring diagrams and perform resistance checks.
• Able to check and adjust all fluid levels and monitor TPMS.
• Repair and rebuild engines; service braking and HVAC systems.
• 5+ years in diesel industry related experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality instruction and facilitate learning of students.
• Develop syllabi, instructional plans, and organize daily classes.
• Advise students and coordinate with Student Success for retention.
• Participate in recruitment events and departmental planning.
