Immediately hiring a Permanent Full-Time Senior Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet at Ryder in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

  • Hourly Pay: $36.42 per hour
  • Certification Bonus: $100 for each new ASE Certification obtained, up to $700
  • Quarterly Bonus: Up to $500 every quarter
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,750 at 30 days and $1,750 at 90 days
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends off
  • Hours: First Shift 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certifications preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Experience in mechanical repair of automotive engines, including routine maintenance, diagnostics, AC, and electrical systems
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with heavy and medium-duty equipment repairs
  • Valid CDL Class A preferred
  • All certifications required by location
  • Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months, pass drug tests, DOT physical, road test, and background checks
Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs, including preventive and diagnostics
  • Complete mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
  • Replace defective components
  • Perform facility maintenance duties
  • Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues
  • Use shop management systems and documentation
  • Follow safety and compliance guidelines
  • Mentor junior technicians
  • Access and utilize maintenance documents
  • Support operations as needed
