Transport Refrigeration Services in Mebane, NC is hiring a Diesel Technician for trucks, trailers, and reefers. Pay ranges from $30.50 to $37.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

The role covers preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and on-site road service in a fast-paced fleet environment. Annual compensation reflects hourly pay with standard shifts; benefits include shift differential for nights, ASE certification pay, PTO from day one, and comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Clean, valid driver’s license.
• Must possess or obtain a toolbox and required tools.
• 1+ year of shop experience doing DOT annual inspections or brakes, or tech school certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers, trucks, refrigeration, and APU units.
• Troubleshoot and repair fuel, electrical, drivetrain, brake, suspension, and cooling systems.
• Replace brakes and handle trailer ABS systems.
• Complete FHWA inspections and tire services (mount, balance, repair).
• Repair trailer bodies, rear doors, and structural components.
• Handle interior/exterior trailer cleaning.
• Perform APU service and general road service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and company/customer vehicles.
• Reefer unit experience is a plus.
• Additional duties as assigned.
