Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Diesel Technician Trainee in La Grange, Georgia. You will be paid while training to become a Ryder Diesel Mechanic Technician, with a schedule of Monday–Friday, second shift 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm, and weekends off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Zero to one year mechanical experience with diesel engines preferred.
• Proficiency in English written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Move heavy duty vehicles into or out of yard, wash bay, service shop, or rental shop and fuel vehicles properly while following safety policies.
• Perform multi-point inspection on inbound units per policy; check tires, fluids, lights, and report issues.
• Maintain fuel island area; perform minor maintenance and stock reconciliation.
• Complete Technician Training Development Program requirements and assessments, including hands-on and online training modules.
