Job summary

Devivo Companies in New Britain, CT, is seeking a full-time Diesel Technician to join our service team. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair buses and commercial vehicles, complete repair orders, and support road calls as needed.

We offer top compensation ($20–$54 per hour), medical/dental/life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid factory training, uniform and boot program, and generous PTO in a modern, well-equipped shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, technical school, or equivalent.
• Training or experience in automotive, truck, or bus repair.
• Valid driver's license.
• CDL license (or eligibility).
• Current ASE certifications or willingness to work toward them.
• Adequate English verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical strength to perform required tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service inspections on a variety of vehicles.
• Perform diagnostic and repair work.
• Complete required paperwork regarding repair orders and parts usage.
• Make road calls as needed.
• Own and maintain the proper hand tools to perform job functions.
• Follow directions from the shop foreman or other supervisor.
