Dollar General Fleet is seeking diesel technicians in Zanesville, OH to ensure trucks, trailers, and yard tractors meet federal standards. Earn $22.00-$33.00 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package and company-provided tools. Wage is paid weekly, with paid vacation and holidays.

The role requires at least one year of experience on Class A trucks, and experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems. Welding/fabrication and DOT compliance are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working on Class A trucks.
• Experience with air brakes, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• DOT inspections and compliance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair truck and trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractor and trailer equipment, including routine repairs.
• Complete repair orders and ensure safety/reliability of fleet vehicles.
• Abide by company policies and safety rules, maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Maintain repairs for Class 8 trucks, trailers and yard tractors.
