Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a skilled Rush Technician to join our service team. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, engines, and components across diverse OEM platforms.

Candidate requirements include 5+ years as a Class 7 & 8 technician, a valid driver license, and ASE or OEM certifications. We offer competitive pay, training opportunities, and a path for career growth within a large, nationwide network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service setting.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license.
• Peterbilt/International/Ford/Hino/Isuzu/Cummins and ASE certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Install engines and major components including injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, cylinder heads, bearings, oil pans, brakes, batteries, transmissions.
• Read job orders and observe vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work.
• Inspect safety devices, adjust as needed.
• Lubricate moving parts and test vehicles to verify conformance to specifications.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and stay updated with factory bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to increase satisfaction.
