Job summary

Allstate Peterbilt Group, a Peterbilt dealer group with a long history, is seeking Diesel Technician/Service Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines and related driveline and chassis components. Work with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and follow OEM procedures to ensure top-tier service for our customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds and perform frequent bending.
• Willingness to learn and follow OEM procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to identify root causes of system failures.
• Perform repairs and rebuilds/overhauls on diesel engines.
• Repair driveline and chassis components including transmissions, brakes, suspensions and more.
• Apply OEM documented procedures to complete complex repairs and identify required parts/tools.
• Collaborate with customers and team to ensure quality service.

Diesel Technician/Service Technician Essential & Primary Job Duties

• Work with state-of-the-art, industry leading diagnostic equipment to determine the root cause of system failures.
• Determine services required to repair and perform failure analysis.
• Complete repairs and rebuilds/overhauls on a variety of diesel engines.
• Perform diagnostic and repairs on driveline and chassis components including clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, suspension and brakes, transmissions, and other necessary repairs.
• Apply OEM documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying required parts and tools.

Diesel Technician/Service Technician Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license
• Dependable and reliable attendance required
• Basic computer skills and knowledge
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 75 pounds
• Frequent bending and twisting
• Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner.
