Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Putnam, CT is hiring a Diesel Technician for the 1st shift (Mon-Wed and every other weekend) from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You will perform PMs, inspections and repairs on tractors and trailers, and provide timely status updates to internal customers. The ideal candidate has a technical degree in diesel technology or at least one year of diesel technician experience, strong attention to detail, and is prepared to supply their own tools within 30 days of hire.

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field, or at least one year of diesel technician experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, annual inspections and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Complete express services like tire changes, brake adjustments and minor electrical repairs.
• Communicate status updates to internal customers.
